As the frost of winter melts into the vibrant spring bloom, there's no better time for mums to set fresh, exciting goals. The changing of the seasons symbolises new beginnings, making it the perfect backdrop for us to challenge ourselves. But let’s be real: most mums stumble when setting goals because they often aim too high, creating mountains that feel impossible to climb. So, let’s keep it simple, achievable, and fun.
Let’s start small. Think of a quirky yet doable goal like, “I won’t pick my wedgie in public for 28 days.” Yes, you read that right! It takes roughly 28 days to break a habit, and trust me, this one will keep you giggling and committed. Or perhaps, you could opt for a more traditional challenge, likeabstainingn from alcohol during the week. It’s all about making changes that fit into your life without turning it upside down.
The key is to set a goal that feels like a tiny nudge, not a giant shove. As a mum, you’re already juggling a million things, so your goal should be something that adds joy, not stress. Maybe it’s committing to a 10-minute dance party with your kids each day, or perhaps it’s taking five minutes each morning to sip your coffee in peace before the chaos begins.
Spring is about growth and renewal, and so should be your goals. They don’t have to be monumental to make a significant impact. When you start small and see those little wins, you build momentum. Soon, those small goals lead to bigger ones, and before you know it, you’re crushing it in every aspect of your life.If you want more personalized guidance on setting and achieving your goals, consider joining the YouMatterMama community.
As an empowerment coach, I specialize in helping mums rediscover themselves and embrace their next chapter with joy and laughter. Whether you need one-on-one coaching or just a supportive group to share your journey with, I’m here to help you every step of the way.
So, as the days get longer and the flowers start to bloom, embrace the season of renewal. Set a goal that makes you smile, laugh, and most importantly, one that you can realistically achieve. Because in the end, it’s the small, consistent steps lead to the most significant transformations. With laughter and love,
