Insanity is often defined as doing the same thing over and over again, expecting different results. Sound familiar? Whether it’s wrangling kids for school or feeling stuck in a life rut, we’ve all been there. But here’s the good news: while you might not have control over everything that happens in life, you absolutely have the power of choice. And that’s where real change begins.

Remember when we were in pre-kindergarten, learning that we’re the boss of our bodies and minds? It might have just seemed like a cute phrase at the time, but it’s actually one of the most empowering lessons we ever learned. Every single choice you make—from what you eat for breakfast to how you respond when life throws you a curveball—is yours and yours alone. That’s a powerful thing.

But here’s the thing about choice: sometimes, it involves acknowledging that you can’t do everything on your own. Asking for help can feel daunting like you’re admitting defeat. But let’s flip that script. Asking for help isn’t about giving up control; it’s about making the wise decision to share the load. Whether it’s leaning on your community, your family, or the amazing support systems around you, reaching out is a sign of strength, not weakness.

So, here’s a challenge for you: start small. Choose one little thing today that you can change. Maybe it’s doing ten sit-ups, skipping that extra sugary drink, or even complimenting someone. These tiny choices might seem insignificant, but they can be game-changers. And if all else fails and you’re feeling stuck, just pick a clean pair of jocks! Trust me, it’s the little things that can make a big difference.

When you care for yourself, you start a ripple effect of joy that spreads to everyone around you. Your actions, no matter how small, can inspire others and create a chain reaction of positivity. And remember, your kiddos are always watching. They see how you treat yourself, and they learn from it. When they see you taking care of yourself, they learn the importance of self-care. They see that it’s okay to prioritise their own well-being, too.

So, let’s embrace the power of choice and make those small changes that lead to big transformations. You’ve got this, and you’re not alone on this journey. Together, with a little bit of help and a whole lot of love, we can create a life filled with joy, growth, and new beginnings.
