Mindfulness is a way of life!

When it comes to having a well-balanced life and keeping stress to a minimum, it is essential to be aware of how busy your mind is.

Do you do two things simultaneously, such as eating while watching television? Maybe you eat lunch at your desk, telling yourself you are saving time, but you must focus more on both activities.

Whilst you can multitask, and it is considered to be an expectation either set by you or by a boss, in the end, it catches up with you in one way or another.

Mindfulness gives you the opportunity to slow down your thoughts and focus on one thing at a time, to be completely present in the moment.

An exercise of mindfulness:

Find a place where you will not be disturbed for at least 15 minutes longer if you like

Sit comfortably and close your eyes

As you take a few slow, deep breaths, allow the tension to leave your body.

Focus on your breathing and allow the thoughts that enter your mind to come and go they will be there afterwards.

When you are ready, open your eyes and notice how you feel.

It is a simple exercise to bring you back to the moment.
