Community - A Great Support

Connect and Grow Magazine - Edition 7 - March 2024

For this March edition, we will share the importance of community as the world changes.

There are different types of community, and each plays a specific role in your life.

You tend not to choose who is part of the work community, and it can be a great place of support as you do your job. Your social community, though, is the one you can choose, the one you can decide if it is right for you or not.

There are also communities for sports, dance, and even arts and crafts.

For some people, life is full of being part of a multitude of communities, and each one helps them to enjoy life and follow their dreams.

Which communities do you have in your life?

Which ones bring you joy, and which ones challenge you?

Work Community!

Do you feel part of the community at your place of work?

Do you feel that you belong and are welcomed? Work communities can be a great source of support in the workplace, and it is important to remember that they are work colleagues. In some cases, you develop friendships, and at other times, you are purely people who are together for the purpose of the job. You are polite to each other and can get along, but that is it.

It is important to create a workplace where people feel welcome, and it can take some work to achieve that type of environment.

Social and family community.

This is the community where you choose who is part of it, especially if you are building it. It could be a community where you are all interested in the same things, such as gardening, bushwalking, singing, etc. It is in these communities that the fun begins. These communities allow you to create great friendships, which is great for your overall health and well-being, as you feel good within yourself.

Communities are a way to connect with different people and learn from the people in these communities. One community may even teach you a new skill, and you may have the opportunity to teach people a new skill.

What is your community like?

Are you comfortable meeting new people and being part of a community with like-minded people who can inspire you to be the best version of yourself? Where can you be true to yourself and live, laugh, and love?

We have a FREE downloadable checklist for you to use to help check in about your Health and Well-being.
